ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR APRIL 12,1999 <br />(it6) #2461 Chris Pierscn, on behalf of William and Thelma Bryson, James A. R Johnson <br />> Continued <br />Sansevere asked if the intent is to leave the cabin to accommodate the wishes of the previous <br />owner. <br />Pierson said yes, but the long-term plan is to remove the cabin. . <br />Jabbour asked staff if a preliminary subdivision can be approved, but the mylar not signed. <br />Banett said applicants have six months from preliminary ^proval to obtain final subdivision <br />approval, but there is a provision for extensions. <br />Jim Johnson, 650 Big Island, said nothing is changing from where it is right now and he <br />questioned the need for a fire wall. <br />Pierson said the intent is to simplify the arrangements regarding taxes, insurance, sewer, etc. <br />He asked if the Council could approve the application subject to their agreement not to file it, <br />which is how the Planning Commission approved it. <br />Jabbour said that after the Planning Commission acted on this application, staff discovered <br />the technical problem with the State Building Code. Jabbour asked if the Council could give <br />preliminary approval and wait to issue final approval after the cabin is removed. <br />Johnson said he is trying to settle this matter for estate planning purposes. <br />Banett said this application is for a lot line rearrangement and there is no preliminary plat <br />required. <br />Jabbour suggested that the application be tabled. <br />Johnson said he would agree to table it. <br />Sansevere said he favors moving the lot line. <br />Kelley moved, Flint seconded, a motion to table Application #2461,650-660-670-680 Big <br />Island, Lot Line Rearrangement.
