A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF <br />HOPE CHEST FOR BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION <br />FOR A ONE DAY MINNESOTA LAWFUL GAMBLING EXCLUDED RAFFLE <br />WHEREAS, the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation has applied to the State of <br />Minnesota Gambling Control Board for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Excluded Raffle to conduct <br />lawful gambling activities; and <br />WHEREAS, an excluded raffle may be conducted by this organization if the total <br />market (retail) value of all raffle prizes awarded in a calendar year does not exceed $1500; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation proposes to conduct a one <br />day gambling activity (raffle) as part of a private party to be held at 3850 Shoreline Drive on <br />September 30,2004; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation is required to obtain <br />approval of the gambling activity from the city in which the activity will occur. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEthe Orono City Council does hereby <br />approve the application for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Excluded Raffle for the Hope Chest for <br />Breast Cancer Foundation to conduct a one day gambling activity (raffle) at 3850 Shoreline Drive on <br />September 30,2004. <br />2004. <br />Adopted at a regular meeting of the Orono City Council this 13 th day of September, <br />ATTEST:Barbara A.
