Gappa <br />Title Director of Public Services <br />Administrator Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />Public Services Director's Repotl <br />Item Description: NPDES Stormwater Education Program with Metro Watershed Partners <br />This program is a cooperative effort between governmental agencies that have an NPDES <br />Phase 11 Stormwater Permit and the Metro Watershed Partners for a media education campaign <br />to provide education on stormwater issues for the metropolitan area. This cooperative effort <br />will provide for more efficient utilization of funds and will provide a consistent message on the <br />need lo control and treat and stormwater runoff in order to reduce pollution cased by this <br />tiinoff. <br />This education program is one item that cun be used to fulfill the educational requirements in <br />the City’s NPDES Phase II Stormwater Permit. We arc recommending participation in this <br />program at a 2004 annual cost of .$500. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to participate in the NPDES Storaiwatcr Education Program with Metro Watershed Partners <br />in the 2004 annual amount of $500 to be funded from the 2004 Stormwater Utility Fund Budget with <br />uppt uval of a biulgct adjustment to rellcct this expenditure.
