f <br />ing a vehicle (lease), computer, <br />I budget adjustment. <br />iinty for exclusive use of this <br />Hennepin County to the Task <br />West Metro D rug Task Force Agreement <br />The parties to this Agreement are units of government responsible for the enforcement of <br />controlled substance laws in their respective jurisdictions. This Agreement is made pursuant to the <br />authority conferred upon the parties by Minnesota Statutes, § 471.59. <br />Thr undersigned governmental units, in the joint and mutual exercise of their powers, agree <br />as follows; <br />1. Name. The parties hereby establish the West Metro Dioig Task Force. (WMDTF). <br />2. General Purpose. The purpose of this Agreement is to define the rights and obligations of <br />the Governmental Units with respect to the duties and activities performed by the Task Force <br />throughout the term of the Agreement. <br />1 ' <br />; J <br />3. Members. The initial members of this Agreement are the following Governmental Units; <br />Hennepin County Sheriff s Office <br />Medina Police Department <br />Mound Police Department <br />Orono Police Department <br />West Hennepin Department of Public Safety <br />3.1 The Governmental Units shall cooperate and use their best efforts to ensure that the various <br />provisions of the Agreement are fulfilled. The members agree in good faith to undertake resolu'ion <br />of disputes, if any. in an equitable and timely manner and in accordance with the provisions of this <br />Agreement. <br />4. Term. <br />4.1 The term of this Agreement shall be for one year, commencing July 15, 2004 and <br />terminating July 14,2005, unless terminated earlier pursuant to section 12.3 of this agreement. <br />This Agreement shall be automatically extended for successive one-year terms upon the <br />same terms, conditions, and covenants, unless the Task Force is dissolved prior to expiration of the <br />initial or successive term. <br />DRAFT intw 1
