The agreement now needs to be formally approved by the Council. <br />The five-year rolling agreement is very beneficial to both Cities. The agreement provides stability <br />and continuity of service, and enables long term budget planning. It also provides stability in terms <br />of the police officer staffing level, which is important to the success of the Police Department in <br />recruiting new officers. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to approve the five-year rolling police service agreement with Spring Park for the years <br />2005-2009.
