Please review Exhibit A, the City Engineer s <br />report reviews the project, methods proposed by applicant's contractor <br />and, finally, makes recommendation to insure the success of the <br />drainage improvements. <br />Hardship Statement <br />1. Steeped topographies. <br />Severe erosion problems.2. <br />3.Original drainage improvements are inadequate to deal with the <br />watershed and heavy velocities of runoff. <br />4.Need to maintain safe level of access for the public who use <br />the camp facilities. <br />Rec ■V#) M • H lendation <br />■ *' <br />Any recommendation of approval must include the following <br />conditions: <br />Remove PVC culvert and save sections to install at ditch <br />block and pathway that crosses ditch leading to steps at <br />west bank. <br />Class III rip rap at an average si/.e of 9" must be used. <br />Filter fabric must be non-woven fabric per Mn/DOT Spec. <br />3733, Type IV. <br />r:'.. <br />Minimal slope with fabric and rip rap required is 3 to 1 <br />slope. Trail must be either removed or bank to west must be <br />altered. If applicant is to attempt to save oak trees, <br />retaining walls must be constructed. If the applicant is to <br />maintain 3 to 1 slopes and also maintain the vehicular trail <br />to lakeside, certain large oak trees may have to be removed. <br />Applicant must decide which option is to be followed and to <br />provide detailed grading plan if sections of the bank are to <br />be significantly altered. <br />Rip rap drainage ways should be extended all the way to the <br />water's edge (929.4 elevation). <br />■« <br />S3l <br />i,
