'• ■
REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
DATE: November 10,2005
OOUNCIL MEETING
N0V 14200S
ITEM NO:enVOFOROHO
Department Approval:
Name Ronald J. Moorse
Title City Administrator
Administrator Reviewed:
✓
Agenda Section:
City Administrator's Report
Item Description : Letter of Recognition td^Wayzata Marine
The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District has placed a set of water circulating pumps in
Stubbs Bay to improve the water quality. These pumps cannot remain in the Bay over the
winter. They would need to be taken out of the water and stored for the winter. Wayzata
Marine has volunteered to store the pumps and accessories in the water in its dock area for
the winter at no cost. This is not only a dollar savings, but also a substantial savings of time
and effort related to taking the equipment out of the water and transporting it to a storage
location. It is recommended that the City send a letter to Wayzata Marine expressing the
City’s appreciation for the generosity and cooperative spirit of Wayzata Marine.
COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED
Motion to authorize a letter to be sent to Wayzata Marine in recognition of its generosity and
spirit of cooperation in volunteering to store the Stubbs Bay water quality equipment over
the winter.
