A RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCES <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 78-1288 <br />VILE NO. 05-3134 <br />WHEREAS, Richard F. Crosby and Patricia L. Crosby, husband and wife <br />(hereinafter “the ^plicants") are the owners of the property located at 2705 Walters Port <br />Lane within the City of Orono (hereinafter the “City”) and legally described as follows: <br />Lot 2, Block 3, Walters Port, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter the <br />“property”): and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono <br />for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1288 to allow a hardcover <br />variance within the 0 -75’ zone for 201 s.f. or 2.5% hardcover where 0% is normally <br />allowed and 343 s.f. or 4.2% currently exists and a variance for the 75* -250’ zone for <br />7,885 s.f. or 45.9% hardcover where 25% is normally allowed and 9,007 s.f. or 52.5% <br />currently exists in order to construct a 340 s.f. attached garage addition. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />Orono, Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1 . This application was reviewed as Zoning File 05-3134. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-IB One Family Lakeshore Residential <br />Zoning District which requires a minimum lot area of 1.0 acre and a <br />minimum lot width of 140 ’. <br />3. <br />I <br />The Plaiming Commission reviewed this application at a public hearing <br />held on July 18 and August 15, 2005 and recommended approval of <br />hardcover variances based on the following findings: <br />a.
