CITY OF ORONO <br />SPECIAL EVENT PEILMIT <br />Ihite Itracd: <br />Date of Eveat: <br />Tlow: <br />August 8,2005 <br />September 10 - October 9,2005 <br />Noon - 6:00 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays <br />Name of Pcnoa(s) Aad/or Organization Sponsoring this Event: <br />Eric Vogstrom <br />Vogue Homes <br />20840 Channel Drive <br />Phone: <br />Greenwood, MN 55331 <br />612-250-9500 <br />Location of Event: 2618 Casco Point Road <br />Type of Eveat:2005 Fall Parade of Homes <br />The foUowlag documents are required and on file at the City Administrative Offices: <br />• Approval from Orono Police Dq>aitment <br />• Approval from Orono Building and Zoning Department <br />The following conditions have been placed on this event: <br />• By acceptance of this special event permit, the permit holder, on behalf of any and all <br />organizations and private persons, is granted authority to operate under the special event permit, <br />and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Orono from all claims arising from said <br />event. Th^ permit holder, all organizations and private persons exercising authority under this <br />permit, do waive and release all claims against the City of Orono, its officers or employees for any <br />damage to person or property arising from the exercise of privileges granted by this permit and <br />agrees to hold harmless the City of Orono, its employees and officers from any such claim. <br />• The Orono Police E)epartment and its officers are empowered to revoke this special event permit at <br />any time for any safety concerns that are not immediately resolved by the permit holder or a <br />representative of the permit holder. This revocation shall cause the immediate cancellation of the <br />event originally authorized by this permit. <br />• No parking is to be allowed on Casco Point Road for this e\ cnt. <br />• Dunwoody Avenue and Casco Point Road at County RD 15 sh''uld at each intersection have a <br />large sign (28 ” x 28 ” min.) that states “NO PARADE OF HOMES PARKING ALLOWED - <br />VIOLATORS SUBJECT TO TICKET AND TOWING - Free shuttle bus at Calvary Memorial <br />Church. 2420 Dunwoody Avenue”. <br />• Casco Point Road is to be posted for 300 feet on both sides of the road and at either end of the <br />house with smaller signs stating “NO PARDAE OF HOMES PARKING - VIOLATERS <br />TAGGED AND TOWED”. Posting to be every 75 feet (total of 16 signs). Posting to be done by <br />contractor. Contractor is to ensure signs are maintained during the event. <br />• Shuttle bus is to use the home's driveway for turnaround or travel the full length of Casco and use <br />Casco Circle for the turnaround. Any discharge of passengers shall be done either in the driveway <br />or as the bus is heading out of the Casco area so there will be no pedestrian traffic crossing Casco <br />Point Road. <br />2750 Kelley Perkway.
