MN 55323 0066 <br />June 8,2005 <br />JefT & Tracy Cordes <br />830 Forest Arms Ln <br />Mound, MN 55364 <br />RE: 830 Forest Arms Lanc/PIN 07-117-23-12-0005 <br />Home Occupation/lllegal Use/Contractor Business <br />A sign advertising Metropro, Inc, a lawn care and landscaping company has been posted on your property at 830 <br />Forest Arms Lane. Through further research it appears that a lawn care, landscaping and contractor business is <br />operating at the above residential address. Home occupations within the City of Orono are regulated under City Code <br />Srotion 78-1376; this section is attached herein for your reference. It appears that your commercial use of the above <br />property may fall under one of the following two categories of this City Code: Level 2 Home Occupation or <br />Prohibited Home Occupation. <br />Please complete the attached Home Occupation License application and submit to the City no later than July 1,2005 <br />in order to avoid legal action by the City. Upon receipt of your application. City Staff will evaluate your use of the <br />above residential property for its qualification as a Level 2 Home Occupation. However, City Staff performed a <br />cursory propertyjnspectipn onj^y.26'^ and it wgs not^ that equipment consistent with a landscaping company was <br />stored on the projKity. Operating a conjrat^ingshpp and/or outdoor storagejusqcjate^with a home occu^tiotr is <br />strictly prohibited. ' <br />Additionally, an illegal access to County Road 151 is located at the rear of your property. Removal of this access was <br />a requirement of your building permit for the detached garage in September of2004. It appears that the access was <br />partially removed; however additional restoration is necessary. The illegal access must be removed, the gate must be <br />remov^ or- permanently closed off and the ditch must be re-graded and re-vegetated to Hennepin County <br />specifications by July 1,2005, if you have questions please contact myself or Dave 2^tterstrom with Hennepin County <br />Public Works at 763-745-7643. <br />Your property will be reinspected to verify compliance with this notice.
