Because a portion <br />of the roadway is in Orono, an agreement is needed to clarify and document a number of issues <br />between the Cities of Orono and Medina. A draft agreement is attached for Council review. <br />The agreement calls for Medina to be responsible for 100% of the costs of constructing the <br />roadway and associated utilities. It also enables Medina to construct the roadway and utilities on <br />the City of Orono right-of-way that was platted to enable the roadway to serve the four properties <br />in Orono. The agreement also calls for Medina to collect funds from the new development to <br />pay a portion of the costs of improvements which may be required for Townline Road. It also <br />calls for Orono to agree to take no action to restrict access to the development from Townline <br />Road. <br />The City ’s approval of an agreement with Medina is subject to the outcome of the City’s current <br />efforts related to addressing its concerns regarding the density of the Park Ridge Acres <br />development. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Provide feedback to staff regarding the agreement No formal action required at this time. <br />= .“V-* <br />‘ ‘a-A* i M <br />I <br />•.
