Becauscofthis the effective period of preliminary plat approval was extended via <br />City of Orono Resolution No. 4905 in December 2002. <br />Due to additional changes in MnDOT’s scheduling and funding, the project is now scheduled to be let by <br />June 30,2005 and the road constructed by June 30,2006. Last March the applicants rei]ucstcd and were <br />granted (via Resolution No. 5134) a further extension ofthe effective period ofprcliininaiy plat approval <br />to July 31,2006 to match the updated schedule. <br />I*"inal Plat Approval . The final plat drawings and the required drainage easement over the Rudd property <br />have been submitted (Exhibits B and C). A draft Joint Agreement between Orono and Medina regarding <br />maintenance of the new road has been drafted; Ron Moorsc and Medina City Administrator Chad Adams <br />have been working on revisions to thedraft to include provisions for future maintenance and repair of <br />Townline Road. Ron will be able to give you an update on this on Monday. <br />Constmetion of Improvements. Since the preliminary plat was approved, it has been conclivicd that the <br />City of Medina will be responsible for construction of the road and related improvements. Therefore, the <br />requirements for the subdivider to provide Orono with a Developers Agreement and letter of credit will be <br />replaced with the Agreement between Orono and Medina. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />The applicants have provided the necessary infonnation for final Council approval of this road plat. Staff <br />recommends adoption of the attached Re.solution. llicplal will not be relea.sed for filing until tlie Joint <br />Agreement has been finalized. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />To adopt or amend the attached resolution granting approval for CITY OF ORONO RlGH'i'OF WAY <br />PLAT NO. 1. <br />t <br />»r
