Mabusth, Building & Zoning Administrator <br />March 13, 1991 <br />#1624 Shoreline Marina & Yacht Club (Dave Carlson) <br />1955 Shoreline Drive - Commercial Site Plan Review <br />Pertinent Ordinance- <br />1.Section 10.41, Subdivision 2 - All applications for a <br />building permit for B-2 lakeshore commercial district shall <br />be reviewed by the Council and may be referred to the <br />Planning Commission for review. Renewal variances. <br />Application #1592, were approved by the Council in October <br />of 1990 that granted approval of setback and hardcover <br />variances for the reconstruction of a new marina/clubhouse <br />building. The variance application is still in effect. <br />Applicant proposes the same building envelope. The property <br />has had two renewal variances since the original approval in <br />1987 with Application #1142 (renewal Application #1408 S <br />#1592). The current application involves applicant's <br />request for a two-story structure. Application #1408 & <br />#1592 renewals approved a one-story structure (Exhibit N). <br />Original Application #1142 (Exhibit M) approved a two-story <br />structure. As already noted in the earlier reviews, average <br />lakeshore setback standards are not included in the B-2 <br />zone. <br />In this review staff has attempted to evaluate the intensity <br />of structure proposed with the current application by <br />comparing the previous structures approved for the marina <br />site.
