Zoning File #1606 <br />July 5, 1991 <br />Page 4 <br />Need for Overnigh't Camping Conditional Dse Permit <br />Staff has reviewed the level of use for overnight camping <br />with the applicants. The applicant advises that the cabin is <br />sometimes used for overnight use and that two families have been <br />known to tent at the facility. Based on the level of use, we <br />would classify this as occassional overnight camping and covered <br />under the current day use conditional use permit. <br />Options of Action <br />Denial - If denied, please state the necessary findings. <br />Refer to Section 10.09, Subdivision 6 (A), Section 10 <br />Subdivision 1 and Section 10.31, Subdivision 3 (C). <br />For Approval - Finding the proposed day use recreation <br />conditional use permit application presented by Big Island, Inc. <br />for Record Lots 12 and 19 meets the intent of the RS District and <br />has satisfied all pertinent standards for day use recreation area <br />on Big Island based on the following conditions: <br />1.Applicant shall file a legal combination of Record Lots <br />12 and !19 with the City. <br />2.If at any time a special activity will result in the <br />attendance of more than 100 users at the facility# <br />responsible agents of the association shall apply for a <br />large assembly permit with the City of Orono. <br />3.As applicants will not require a dock length variance <br />for their boat dock, applicants are advised to complete <br />the filing of a joint use dock license with the <br />for the 1991 season. Applicants have filed for a <br />slip joint dock license rather than 30 as originally <br />roposed in the 1990 application. Applicants must also <br />ile for an LMCD license.I <br />4.On-site septic inspector to complete an annual <br />inspection of septic system during late spr-ng/early <br />summer months.
