Zoning File #1644
June 13, 1991
Please note there has been no fee charged with this appeals
application. If applicant wishes to proceed further with an
appeal of the Planning Commission recommendation before the
Council, we must ask that the $100.00 fee be paid. We are also
aware that the applicant has questioned the use of interior
signage within windows of another adjacent marina. This type of
interior advertising signage is done throughout the City. The
City has not required permits nor does the code suggest that such
signs require permits. Staff would welcome any comments Members
may have or further direction regarding their interpretation of
Section 10.61 of the code as it deals with signs as accessory
uses.
Options of Action -
To approve Zoning Administrator's interpretation of the code
and requires the immediate removal of the sign.
To direct staff to issue penalty building permit for
permanent sign installed on property.
1
^4
