I i u n V c V
NJ6-56B3
CITY OF ORONO
rvi v.p\T
t < ' ■-CsiV.
August 2, 1983
Jeanne Mabusth
Zoning Administrator
City of Orono
P.O. Box 66
Crystal Bay, Minnesota 55323
Dear Ms. Mabusth:
This letter is to comment on various matters pertaining to my
variance application to Lot 18, Spring Park Addition currently
pending before the Planning Commission.
I will attend the Planning Commission Meeting of August 15, 1983
as you request, although I do not understand what I can add to
what you already know concerning the "common ownership" issue.
As you know, I purchased the lot from J. Richard Tuthill in 1977
and haven't proceeded to build on the lot until this year.
Certainly I believed the lot was buildable at the time I
1977, I have naturally permitted Tuthill to
continue to maintain and use the lot until such time as I was
prepared to build. Neither Tuthill or the neighborhood would be
benefitted if I had simply let the lot go to seed and I frankly
am astonished this was raised by you as an issue at the hearing.
Please call me to explain first of all, what other facts you
require regarding this "common ownership" quest-.on and second,
wnat importance the maintenance of the lot can possibly have to mv variance application. ^
receipt of your notice of July 19, 1983 which states
to administer its zoning and building codes over the years and I
tail to see in what manner my application calls for a study andf !p
of being put on hold where I believe my application is
has^ inSi^ed^m Indeed, my builder, Mr. Johnson, has informed me that you stated at the last meeting that there
was no reason the building permit should not be granted except
mm
Br'i
it-* •
•N. . •.» 1
/
•;a '•>1
m
for thi:
facts nc
any fur
meritori
August 1
Finally,
that m
notwiths
requireir
violates
gross at
protect
complain
Kindly p
early op
^ry. tru
Douglaslas^
V
