FENCE ORDINANCE <br />Definitions! <br />Fence Any structure, man made, constructed to define lot lines, or <br />yard space or areas? to protect property, public or private from major <br />thorough fares. A wall, for the purposes of this <br />ordinance, does not include retaining walls. <br />Fence/wall is permitted on the lot line only when the heigKth does not <br />exceed 42 Inches unless the property line in question abuts a major <br />thorough fare (County Road), at which place the fence may be up to 6 feet <br />in heig^th. <br />Fence/wall at the set back lit e of a residential lot may be up to 6 <br />feet in heig^th. i <br />' i^ijL f^JNo fence or^,^all may be const:ucted within the zero to seventy-five <br />foot protected lakeshore area. <br />No fence or wall may be constructed on the side lot line or side set <br />back line lakeward of the average set back of adjacent properties <br />Building permit requests for a fence/wall along a major thorough fare <br />7must be reviewed and approved by the City Council. <br />.5 <br />i
