NIHUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 16, 1985. PAGE 1 <br />ATTENDANCE 7:30 PM <br />CONSENT AGENDA* <br />The Orono Planning Commission met on the above date with the <br />following members present: Chairman Callahan, Sime, <br />Rovegno, Goetten, McDonald, and Kelley. Taylor was absent. <br />The following represented the City Staff: City Administrator <br />Bernhardson, Building & Zoning Administrator Mabusth, <br />Senior Building Inspector Jacobs, and City Recorder <br />Peterson. Council Representative Adams was also present. <br />It was moved by Rovegno, seconded by Sime, to approve the <br />Consent Agenda as submitted. WADE <br />670 OLD CRYSTAL BAY ROAD <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />COMBINED PUBLIC HEARING 7:30 - 7:38 <br />Bill Gagne was present for this matter. Also present <br />representing the Montesorri School was applicant Lawrence <br />Wade, and Jeri & Greg Miller. <br />The certification of mailing and affidavit of publication <br />was noted. <br />The purpose of this combined public hearing was to <br />respectively consider the following requests: <br />#963 - Preliminary subdivision of Let 2, Block 1 Willow <br />Properties Addition in order to create a 2 acre lot for <br />the future us of a day nursery school. <br />#962 - Upon approval of the preliminary subdi*'i sion, a <br />Conditional Use permi t to construct a Moi tesorri nursery <br />school within proposed Lot 1 of the second subdivision <br />for Willow Properties. <br />It was noted by the Planning Commission and Zoning <br />Administrator Mabusth that upon approval of these requests, <br />these items should be exempt from the upcoming proposed <br />Ordinance limiting development within the Highway 12 Study <br />area. <br />There wore no persons present objecting and the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />It was moved by Sime, seconded by Goetten, to recommc?nd <br />approval of the Preliminary Subdivision application of <br />Willow Properties Inc., subject to staff's recommerd'^-’ <br />conditions amending Condition 15 deleting "Approve sewer <br />service to school Motion, Ayes 6, Mays 0. <br />Jeri Miller stated that they feel there is a need for another <br />nursery school in the area although a formal study has not <br />been done. <br />'3
