Mabusth, Zoning Administrator <br />Date:August 13, 1985 <br />Subject: Ordinance Amendment <br />Staff has drafted an amendment to various sections of the zoning code <br />for your review and approval. I am sending this item under separate cover <br />a few days before receipt of your agenda packets in order to provide <br />additional time for you to critique and if needed draft amendments to the <br />staff's amendment. <br />Briefly to review the intent or purpose of the proposed amendment; <br />a) Definitions - need to define a commercial operation for the pur­ <br />pose of interpreting other sections of code, definition for riding <br />academy to supplement concurrent amendment allowing use via a condi­ <br />tional use permit, expansion of lot line definition for purposes of <br />clarity, need definition for yard requirements to distinguish between <br />setback requirements. <br />b) §10.03, Subdivision 9 D <br />Much needed direction for accessory structures on lakeshore lots - <br />note we're going to try once again for the 10 foot setback for <br />detached garages. <br />c) §10.03,Subdivision 15 - clerical <br />d) §10.03, Subdivision 18 <br />New land acquisitions have no bearing on increases in stock. More <br />than a 25% increase in stock since effective date of ordinance re­ <br />quires a conditional use permit. <br />3) §10.03, Subdivision 4 <br />Need to establish bases in ordinance for staff issuing general permits <br />for land alterations involving movement of 100 cubic yards or less of <br />earth. <br />f) §10.03, Subdivision 27 <br />Tree removal within 75 feet of lake and replacement policy to be <br />administated by staff. <br />g) §10.03, Subdivision 3A <br />Clerical error - original performance standards were omitted in <br />codificaton.
