■r <br />#919 Schultze <br />Page 2 <br />May 17, 1985 <br />The City Engineer has reviewed the pond and has the following comments: <br />A.In regard to bank slopes, ho advises no changes but to let them seek <br />their natural grade. The spoils on the northwest side of the <br />excavation must be used to trim banks along west cind north sides of <br />pond (use same slope ratios for banks as found on southern pond). <br />B. As soon as final grading is completed, the entire disturbed area <br />must be seeded with appropriate ground cover. <br />C.TJio purpose of the two culverts shoe’ ' l>e mace clear. If they are <br />to maintain OH^elevation of pond, the applicant must designee <br />t)ie elevations of the culverts, elevation of controlled OH^ <br />D.The pond is 4 1/2 feet at its deepest point. Does the applicant <br />intend to install an aeiator to control growth of algae and <br />unwanted veget at ion. I n this type of appl i cation, the Ci ty has no <br />problem with the installation of an aerator. <br />Recommendation <br />To approve tlie after-the-fact, conditional use application of Ted <br />Schultze based on the following findings: <br />1. The pond excavation is not located within a designated <br />wetlands. <br />2.The pond will not redirect or change the localized watershed but <br />will, if prof>er 1 y const r uct ed, control the velocity of the runoff <br />created by the surrounding improven;ents. <br />Approval is subject to the following conditions: <br />1. Applicant submit additional hydraulic information; <br />A) Elevation of pond, elevations of culvert, specific controls on <br />outlets and inlets <br />2.Restore entire disturbed area with suitable ground cover upon <br />completion of land alteration. Spoils stored on edge of pond to <br />be used in restoration.
