a. <br />Mayor Mary Butler <br />City of Oi'ono <br />Orono Mn. <br />Deer Meyor Butler, <br />FEB28I985 <br />CITY OF OROI'K) j <br />This is in reference to the city onjinance governing the storing of <br />boats, trailers, docks, etc. on residential lots. <br />Because of the physical problems of many of the lots on Crystal Bay <br />Rd., (i.e , narrow lots, closely spaced houses, inaccessable rear yards, a <br />road along the lekeshore. etc ) it is almost impossible for the residents to <br />comply with the ordinance as it is now written. As one drives along other <br />lakesi'Ore areas of Orono, it becomes evident that many other oeople have <br />the same problem <br />The lake is the basis tor a great deal of recreational activity all year, <br />consequently, a great deal of equipment ( boats, snowmobiles, docks, etc ) <br />is accumulated by the residents. In view of this, I urge the city to amend <br />the ordinance so that it more closely addresses the needs and limitions of <br />the Citizens of Orono, end specifically the problems of Crystal Bay Rd <br />residents <br />Respectfully, <br />\ •' \J \\ .' .1 <br />'k-VU .
