The purpose of the action item is to appoint a police sergeant. <br /> <br />2. Background / Summary. The Orono Police Department has an open position for police sergeant. <br />The police department conducted an internal process and Colin Hennessy was selected as a candidate for <br />the position. An interview was completed with the City Administrator, Deputy Chief and two Sergeants. <br />All information was reviewed and Officer Colin Hennessy was selected for the open sergeant position. <br /> <br />3. Staff Recommendation.
