From:Alice Reimann
To:Jeremy Barnhart
Cc:Alice Reimann; John Reimann
Subject:More for packet-PULL BI DOCK FROM THE AGENDA
Date:Monday, April 11, 2022 10:40:23 AM
Hello Jeremy,
Please include this additional letter from the Reimanns in the Council packet for tonight.
Again, sorry for tardiness.
To Mayor Walsh, Orono City Council Members and Jeremy:
PLEASE REMOVE BIG ISLAND DOCK, ITEM NUMBER 10 from the Council meeting
tonight. We have additional thoughts:
We respectfully request the new concept of this dock licensure program at Big Island be
denied. The item should be pulled from the agenda tonight.
Since the Council and Mayor assured our neighbors Jeff and Olivia Hornig of 450BI
(therefore ourselves) we have been blind-sighted by this process.
Our schedules were planned to be out of town until April 15 and we are therefore unable to
attend tonight’s meeting in person.
It seems unreasonable for us to abandon our grand-fathered dock location in use since 1909
building of the cabin we purchased.
We respectfully request adequate time for a plan and more time taken to review all this by the
Council. Please vote to deny or table with refund for the licensee's application. The Big Island
dock item should be pulled from the agenda.
Thank you,
John and Alice Reimann
440 Big Island
Item 10
