AGENDA ITEM <br />Prepared By: J. Lemons Reviewed By: Approved By: <br />1.Purpose. The purpose of the action item is to designate Lake Access Points to be marked. <br />2.Background / Summary. The City has marked an unmarked lake access points that provide some <br />recreational value to Orono residents. The Park Commission has developed a standard of how the access <br />points should be marked in the future to designate usage. Having the access points marked clearly would <br />allow for more use and clear boundary disputes. <br />3.Usage. All newly marked access points would be posted as pedestrian use only unless previously <br />designated for other uses. <br />4.Access Point List. The Lake Access Point sub-committee of the Park Commission and City staff <br />have identified the following access points to be marked in 2022. <br />•#4- 3498/3510 North Shore Dr. at Baldur Park <br />•#9- Gibbs Landing – Fox St. Adj. to 3125 <br />•#11- 3580/3640 Bayside Rd at Stubbs Bay <br />•#15- 607/649 Park Lane <br />•#20- 1310 Spruce/1320 Cherry Pl <br />•#22- 1098/1130 Loma Linda Ave <br />•#28- 4711/4745 North Shore Dr. <br />•#30- 1405/1410 Rest Point Rd <br />•#32- 4156/4167 Highwood Rd <br />•#37- 3195/3205 Casco Circle <br />•#38- 3484/3508 Ivy Place <br />5.Staff Recommendation.
