#804 - Painters Creek
April 17, 1984
Page 3
Lot 6 - (Sites 14A & 14B)
- Slopes at tested sites 10-15$
- Topoqraphic location OK
- Site drainage OK
- House siting capability - This one mig t be a problem due to location
of road/cul-de-sac, drainfield site lo ation and steep slope location.
Suggest a specific house site "envelop " to protect drainfield area
- Reported perc rates average 19 MPI pri ary, 3 MPI alternate
- Seasonal saturation zones 4 ' -6Z ' . A c rtain drain would likely be
beneficial and allow trenches up to 2 ' deep
Lot 7 - (Sites 15A, 15B, 7A (4/11/84) )
- Slopes at tested sites 0-lOg
- Site drainage qood, topographic locati n good
- Pump station likely needed due to prob ble preferred house location at high
point of lot
- Reported perc rates 12-16 MPI overall
- Based on soil borings, the preferred si e is to the northwest just above the
steep slope, where use of a curtain dr in would likely be beneficial and
allow the use of shallow trenches. Th other two sites would appear
to be suitable for mound systems; if a curtain drain could be installed
to effectively drain this soil, shallo trenches might be possible
Lot 8 - (Sites 16A, 16B, 8A (4/11/84) )
- Slope at tested sites is 6-12$
- Topographic location - above wet areas nearing base of slope
- House siting should be no problem
- Site drainage - may need some diversio around drainfield sites
- Seasonal saturation zones reported at Z' -4 '
- Perc rates at the tested sites average 15 MPI primary, 75MPI alternate
- Based on perc rates and water tables, would recommend mound systems for
both sites. A shallow trench system m ght be possible at the primary
site if a curtain drain effectively lo ered the water table . That may
not be possible in the clayey soils pr sent
9 - (Sites 9A (4/11/84) & 9B (4/11/84) )
- Slope at tested sites 20-6
- Topographic location good
- Site drainage good
- House siting capability - should be ' no , problem
- Perc rates average 15 MPI primary ste 9 MPI alternate site
- Saturation zones at 42-48" . Based n he information submitted, both
sites are suitable for mound system$ a d may be suitable for shallow
trenches if a curtain drain can be use to drain the soils
