Painter's Creek Development 3 December 9, 1983
in each of the proposed areas was initiall determined by excavating
a test pit in the center of [he originally designated areas. In areas
where the seasonal groundwater table was e countered at a de th of less
than 4 ft. , the drainfield areas were rlo ated to areas where satisfactory
results were obtained. A sketch is attach d with this report showing the
final locations as tested.
A minimum of two percolation tests we e conducted in each of the
designated areas. Percolation test No. 1 as located 30 ft. in either a
northerly or easterly direction along the en th of the drainfieid area
from the center of the drainfield area. T e actual direction would depend
on the orientation of the drainfield. er olation test No. 2 was located
30 ft. from the center in the opposite dir ction.
In the preliminary drainfield areas, wo additional percolation tests
were performed. Percolation test No. 3 wa located 10 ft. in either the
northerly or easterly direction along with width of the drainfield area from
the center, and percolation test No. 4 was located 10 ft. from the center
in the opposite direction. In addition, a second test pit was excavated at
the location of the percolation test No. 1
PT-3
PT-2 O Sa- PT-I
58-2
PT-4
