REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br /> DATE: July 21, 1998 <br /> ITEM NO.: 0 9_ 10 if <br /> Department Approval: Administrator Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br /> Name Liz Van Zomeren Zoning <br /> Title City Planner <br /> Item Description: #2381, 2382, 2386, 2387 Busse Construction on behalf of: <br /> James Johnson, 4300 Watertown Road <br /> Charles Larson, 4285 Sixth Avenue North <br /> Tim Otten, 425 Turnham Road <br /> Bob Gehrman, 4300 Sixth Avenue North <br /> Katherine Colgrove, 4260 Sixth Avenue North <br /> Zoning District: RR-1A, One Family Rural Residential District (5 acres) <br /> Application: Busse Construction is currently working on the Sixth Avenue North(County <br /> Road 6) and Watertown Road improvements. Part of the project involves <br /> removing dirt to change grade. Busse Construction has worked with local <br /> property owners to fmd sites to create berms and level grades to provide <br /> disposal sites near the construction project. <br /> The four applications submitted for consideration this month involve four <br /> property owners, and possibly a fifth (Colgrove). <br /> #2381 <br /> Work on the berms at the Johnson and Larson properties proceeded prior <br /> to obtaining a conditional use permit for land alteration. The building <br /> inspector stopped work on the project until the City Council can consider <br /> the application. <br /> Two areas are proposed for land alteration on the Johnson property. One <br /> area is along Watertown Road. The size of the area to be altered is 230' <br /> by 250' changing the grade or height by 7 ft. The amount of fill required <br /> is 10,650 cubic yards. The other area is along Sixth Avenue North and is <br /> partially located on the Larson property at 4285 Sixth Avenue North. This <br /> area is proposed to be longer, narrower, and higher than the southerly <br />
