As an adult participant in the <br /> Masters program since 2016 and a parent of a high school rower, I appreciate the hard work <br /> and research the club has undertaken to get this project going. I am confident that a permanent <br /> home on Long Lake will be a positive and exciting venture for the club and the community. <br /> My involvement with LLRC began when I moved to the area from France,where I had <br /> developed an interest in rowing by watching a crew row by my house on a river each day. I <br /> was immediately welcomed by the club and attended indoor training before getting on the <br /> water the following spring. The coaching and organization have allowed me to both learn the <br /> sport of rowing and attend several regattas in the state. My son recently joined the Juniors <br /> team,where he met friends from other schools and enjoyed spending time outdoors on <br /> Ilibeautiful Long Lake. I also have a middle schooler who participated in the Orono Community <br /> Education "Learn to Row" course,which was a great experience as well. In short, our whole <br />
