The purpose of this item is to accept the proposal for the utility design and engineer for <br />sewer and Water connections to the Future Public Works Facility Site. <br /> <br />2. Background. In 2020 the City Council expressed an interest in procuring land and constructing a <br />new public works facility. The City acquired the parcel at 365 OCB earlier this year. Council indicated <br />a desire to complete utility connections for the property in 2021 followed by soliciting proposals for <br />facility design later in the year. <br /> <br />3. Project Scope. The scope of the project will be to complete the design, permitting and prepare bid <br />documents for the construction of water and sanitary sewer lines to service the property at 365 Old <br />Crystal Bay Road. <br /> <br />4. Cost. The city solicited proposals from 2 engineering firms to complete design and engineering of the <br />Water and Sewer systems to the site. WSB provided the lowest quote for a fee not to exceed $28,736. <br />Summary of proposals is in the table below. <br />Firm Proposed Cost <br />WSB $28,736 <br />BMI $29,000 <br /> <br />5. Funding.
