<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />NO. ________________________ <br /> <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING <br />OFFICER WILLIAM PERSELL <br />FOR HIS <br />TWENTY-SIX YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE <br />TO THE CITY AS A POLICE OFFICER <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William Persell was appointed to the position of Part-time Police <br />Officer on November 7, 1994; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, William has for 26 years exceptionally served, patrolled and <br />responded to calls for service; and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William’s years of service as a Police Officer has been characterized <br />by his willingness to come in on a moment’s notice, his great spirit, his helpful advice and <br />his dedication to providing the highest quality police service to the city and its citizens and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William was a team player and set the example for his fellow police <br />officers and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William has provided service to the community in a fair, <br />respectful, honest, trustworthy, and selfless manner and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, William is resigning from his position as Police Officer effective <br />November 14, 2020. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council does <br />hereby recognize and commend Officer William Persell for his leadership, and dedicated <br />service to the community as Police Officer. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Orono City Council does hereby extends <br />its best wishes to Office William Persell. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held this <br />9th day of November, 2020. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />________________________ _________________________ <br />Anna Carlson, City Clerk Denny Walsh, Mayor <br />47 <br />47
