<br /> This letter is in resFonse to your inquiry regarding City requirement:;
<br /> for a septic system if you construct a residence on the above referencec3
<br /> property. As you correctly noted, the �;ro�;erty is within an area the City
<br /> is considering for Fotential installation of municiFal sewers.
<br /> Because there is a �otential that the �roperty may be provided witt�
<br /> •, muncipal sewer in the relatively near future, connection of a new h�use to
<br /> the existing septic sy�tem is a reasonable request. It would seem unfair
<br /> to have you s�end �erhaps as much as 54, 000 to $8,000 on a septic system
<br /> and then require you to �;ay assessments for and connect to a munici�;al
<br /> sewer a year or two later.
<br /> However, at this point in time there does not seem to be any real Fust,
<br /> by the City Council nor the affected �ro�;erty owners to initiate a project,
<br /> and no meetings to discuss the issue are currently scheduled. It would
<br /> seem that even if ineetings and hearings did commence this fall, and ff �
<br /> decision was made to �roceed, actual hook-up availability would likely not
<br /> occur until late 1989 or 1990.
<br /> Given this lack of a definite timetable, the City's conaerns with you�
<br /> request are two-fold:
