<br /> Based on the above information, the City would allow a new house to b�.:
<br /> connected to the existing system only under the following conditions:
<br /> 1. Prior to issuance of a bui lding �;ermit for the new house, owner ' �
<br /> must Frovide a full site evaluation and design for a new conformin�� ;
<br /> septic system, both primary and alternate drainfield eites, in orde� �
<br /> to confirm the suftability of the lot for �;ermanent usage of septic �
<br /> systems should sewers never become a reality. �
<br /> 2. The interim �;eriod during which the existing system could be usea

<br /> �s defined as follows: �
<br /> a) Maximum of 18 months from date of occu�;ancy, renewable rfter h /
<br /> that on a 6 month periodical basis only if a Council decision tc� �:
<br /> install municiFal sewers aF�ears to be shortly forthcoming. � �
<br /> b) Should the existing system fail Frior to a decision �n sewez �
<br /> installation, the system must be re�, laced with a totally
<br /> conforming system.

<br /> c) Likewise, if a decision to not make sewer available to th<_ ' `
<br /> Fro�erty is forthcoming, the system must be reFlaced with a fully �
<br /> con.�orming system within 6 months of the Council decision, r-�
<br /> regardless whether thP existing system is functioning adequdtely. �� *
<br /> d) If sewer becomes available, the �;roFerty must be connected tc�, � y
<br /> it as soon as it becomes available. �

<br /> e) At any time during the interim �;eriod, if the house is sold
<br /> the system must be rQFlaced with a totally conforming system. f
<br /> This ap�roval is not transferable to a new owner. i' ,

<br /> 3. ^'hQ City is in no way cErtifying thar. the existinq aystem is
<br /> ce�able of functioning acceptably during tt,e interim �eriod. Th�
<br /> proFerty owner bears the respoa�sibility for maintaininq the system so
<br /> it does not become a health or safety h�zurd, nor a �;ub2ic nuisance.
<br /> A contractual aqresment would have to be signcd �y you, t�qreeing t�-
<br /> the above conditions before a building �;ermit would be i�sued. This woul�:
<br /> be filed in the chain of title of the �;ro�.erty.
