The City of Orono is an Equal Opportunity Employer <br />setting. <br />• Coordination — Adjust actions in relation to others' actions. <br /> <br />Abilities: <br />• Oral Comprehension — Able to listen to and understand information and ideas presented <br />through spoken words and sentences. <br />• Oral Expression — Able to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others <br />will understand. <br />• Written Comprehension —Able to read and understand information and ideas presented <br />in writing. <br />• Deductive Reasoning — Able to apply general rules to specific problems to produce <br />answers that make sense. <br />• Speech Clarity — Able to speak clearly so others can understand you. <br /> <br />Minimum Requirements <br />• Bachelor’s Degree in Public or Business Administration. <br />• Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in responsible public management position <br />working with elected officials. <br /> <br />Desirable Qualifications <br />• Master’s Degree in Public or Business Administration. <br />• Experience dealing with public operational issues including finance and human <br />resources. <br />• ICMA credentialed manager. <br /> <br />Physical Demands and Working Environment <br />This position operates in an office environment, where employees are protected from weather <br />conditions or contaminants, but not necessarily occasional temperature changes. <br />
