Purpose: To consider changes to the City Code related to State Law references, Building Code <br />appeals, and plumbing permitting. <br /> <br />2. Background: At its meeting on March 29th, the City Council approved some changes to the City <br />Ordinances as they relate to the Building Code, as recommended by the Building Official Scott Qualle. <br />Immediately after approval, the state provided additional comments related those changes. The Council is <br />asked to approve these changes. These changes are generally housekeeping in nature. <br /> <br />The plumbing permit language refers to the review of commercial plumbing permits. Currently, <br />plumbing permits for commercial projects are reviewed by the State. The intent with the change is to <br />have MnSpect complete that review, with proper accreditation. <br /> <br />3. Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends approval of the changes as proposed. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to approve the ordinance as drafted. <br /> <br /> <br />Exhibits <br />A.
