sONp CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> NO. 7 1 6 5 <br /> 4kES HG.9"t <br /> A RESOLUTION <br /> APPROVING A PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR <br /> SHORELINE ESTATES <br /> (FILE NO. LA20-000048) <br /> WHEREAS,on July 22, 2020 Timothy Whitten, o/b/o Irwin Jacobs 2018 Rev Trust <br /> ("Applicants"), applied for a preliminary plat for the property legally described: <br /> Outlot A and Lot 4, Block 1, Tanager Estates, Hennepin County, (hereinafter the <br /> "Property"); <br /> WHEREAS, on August 17, 2020, after published and mailed notice in accordance <br /> with Minnesota Statutes and the City Code, the Planning Commission held a public hearing, at <br /> which time all persons desiring to be heard concerning the preliminary plat application were given <br /> the opportunity to speak thereon; and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 17, 2020, the Planning Commission recommended <br /> approval of the preliminary plat; and <br /> WHEREAS, on September 14, 2020, the City Council after reviewing the <br /> application, the recommendations of the Planning Commission and City staff, and the comments <br /> received from the public during the meeting, tabled action to allow site visits on the property; and <br /> WHEREAS, on October 26, 2020, the City Council tabled action to allow the <br /> applicant to address certain concerns including Average Lake Shore setback, the length of the <br /> proposed private road,the number of lots; and <br /> WHEREAS, on January 19, 2021, after published and mailed notice in accordance <br /> with Minnesota Statutes and the City Code,the Planning Commission held a second public hearing, <br /> at which time all persons desiring to be heard concerning the preliminary plat application were <br /> given the opportunity to speak thereon; and <br /> WHEREAS, on February 8, 2021, the City Council reviewed the revised <br /> preliminary plat application,and the recommendations of the Planning Commission and City staff <br /> and directed staff to prepare a resolution for approval; and <br /> 1 <br />
