Mackinnon stated when the addition was <br /> put on the residence,they found newspaper insulation in the walls dating back to 185G and that the <br /> original lag home behind the house was the existing Shibbs house. <br /> Bohl stated he would like to continue to move this application forward and meet with the Watershed <br /> District, Bohl inquired whether preliuunary plat approval could be given tonight. <br /> Peterson stated since Staff only received some o£the infonnation tonight, it would Ue difficult to give <br /> preliminaiy plat approval. <br /> Gaffron stated he would prefer the application be tabled tonight,but that he would like the Cotmcil to <br /> give preliminaiy approval to the concept and layout, which would allow the City to go Uefore the <br /> Watershed District. <br /> Mui-�hy stated he still has questions regarding the size of the lots and the proposed septic,but that he <br /> personally would like to follo�v ihe City's Rural Oasis plan with this development. <br /> McMillan stated she personally is not at the point wl�ere she could allow lots under h�vo acres to have their <br /> ow�i septic system and that she would lilce to lalow exactly what criteria needs to be met if private septic <br /> systems would be allowed on lots less than t�vo acres. <br /> Bellows inquired whether this could P�mcCion under a Planned Unit Develo�ment to help address <br /> McMillan's concerns. <br /> Gaffron stated this development is Ueing proposed LUZder a PUD and lhal tecluiically tl�e developet•is able <br /> to do it Utit that you aitempt lo mitigate those coucerns Uy placing restrictive covenants on the lots. <br /> McMillan siated she has a concern that these smaller lols tivould have flleir own�rivate septic sites and <br /> that in her opinion the Ci�y migllt Ue getting � little �head of itself by uot having the proper ordinances in <br /> placc. <br /> Peterson stafed il appears that fo�n�of the Co�mcil memUers are eomfortable wilh the size of lhe lois. <br /> Bohl staLed il would malce setise to nau�ow the streel' lo help l�reserve some of ihe h-ees in the area. <br /> P�G� 16 of 20 <br />
