After reviewing previous meeting days and your suggestions from <br /> last year, the above date is being proposed. I sincerely hope that it is agreeable with your <br /> council. <br /> Minnesota Statutes require that in order to hold a local board of appeal and equalization meeting <br /> in 2009 there must be a quorum and at least one of the voting members must have attended the <br /> approved training. I would suggest that an informal review of your members with a request that <br /> they mark their calendars would be appropriate. I have attached additional information about <br /> the legislation and a summary of the duties and responsibilities of the local board of appeal and <br /> equalization. If your board has additional questions or need more information, please contact <br /> your local assessor. <br /> Please confirm the date as set out above or if you wish to change the date, call me with your <br /> alternative date by January 18, so that our valuation notices can be prepared on time. We <br /> suggest starting times of 6:30, 7:00 or 7:30 p.m., but will discuss alternatives with you if you <br /> wish a different time.
