MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> FROM: ORONO MANAGEMENT TEAM <br /> SUBJECT: INFORMATION UPDATE <br /> DATE: MAY 14, 2010 <br /> • Website Update—Following Council approval of the GovOffice software for website redevelopment, <br /> staff worked with the web designer in January and February to prepare the site for redevelopment. <br /> Staff has completed training and is working on updating and rebuilding pages from the current <br /> website to the new website for testing. The existing website has over 40 sections,most of which have <br /> sub-sections within them, consisting of approximately 200 pages. Approximately 20°/o of the <br /> Administration pages have been rebuilt. Planning and Zoning and the Police Departments are also <br /> warking on their sections. The goal is to have the new website "live"in early September. <br /> • Planning Staff inet with Terry Schneider who represents the Klinglehutz property at 2535 &2545 <br /> Shadywood Road to discuss a Memory Care facility project for the site. We expect to see an <br /> application fairly soon for a 20-unit building. The site is zoned B-4 (Office)in which nursing homes <br /> are an allowed conditional use. <br /> • Staff(Mike, Melanie, Evelyn, Scott and Tom Kellogg)met with Bob Erickson (Welsh Co), Steve <br /> Johnston and representatives of Ecumen to discuss a Senior Care Project at 875 Wayzata Blvd. It was <br /> a productive meeting and the City should be expecting an application(RPUD rezoning&Concept <br /> Plan approval)by the deadline for the June PC meeting. (MC) <br /> • Over 200 responses to the Organics Survey were received this week—the response deadline is May <br /> 315C <br /> • Addirional attachments: <br /> o Friday Fax, a legislative update from League of Minnesota Cities—May 7, 2010 <br /> o Metro Cities News—May 14, 2010 <br />
