Edwards Agenda Consent Agenda <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Section: <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this item is for City Council to accept the sanitary sewer, within the <br />Southways development. <br />2. Background. The Southways development was approved subject to the terms of the Development <br />Contract, Southways, 18-3998, executed by the developer and the City June 11th, 2018. Per the contract <br />the sanitary sewer and storm water utilities as well as the roadway are to be a public facilities owned, <br />operated and maintained by the City of Orono. The sanitary sewer portion of the Project is complete <br />and the as -built surveys received by the city in accordance with Section 17 of the Development <br />Agreement. <br />3. Public Improvements. The development infrastructure that is public include the water system, <br />sanitary sewer system, the stormwater system, and the roadway. <br />4. Staff Recommendation. I recommended formal acceptance of the sanitary sewer system. The <br />stormwater system and roadway are not ready for acceptance at this time. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Adopt the attached resolution accepting the sanitary sewer system improvements within Southways as <br />public facilities. <br />Exhibits <br />A.
