Lake Minnetonka Communications Commission Vacancy <br /> • Per the LMCC joint powers agreement, a Council Member should be appointed as one of the <br /> city's representatives to the LMCC. <br /> • Council recommended that Council Member Franchot act as the Council representative. An <br /> official appointment will be made at next Council meeting. <br /> 5. Update on Police Contracts for Contract Cities <br /> • Spring Park will review the level of service they feel is necessary and number of officers that are <br /> appropriate for their city. They will pass a resolution at their next council meeting documenting <br /> their service level commitment for 2010. <br /> 6. Miscellaneous <br /> • Paul Pesek sent a draft tree ordinance to Council Members McMillan and Franchot. The <br /> proposed ordinance doesn't apply to existing lots, only development on new lots and new <br /> construction. <br /> o Staff noted a tree ordinance is difficult to enforce. Pieces of a tree ordinance already exist <br /> within various sections of the code. <br /> o Council directed staff to review the proposed ordinance and discuss how to proceed. <br /> o Pesek believes Orono is one of the few cities without a tree ordinance. Staff will also <br /> investigate how other cities are working with tree ordinances. <br /> • Discussion of Casco Point Reconstruction Project Issues <br /> • Water damage reported at one residence. <br /> • Sewer line plugged at another address. <br /> • One resident is just unhappy about the whole project. <br /> • Long Lake Chamber of Commerce <br /> • Copy of letter sent to Roxie Albers, President, congratulating the Chamber on its community <br /> efforts was distributed. <br /> • Stonebay Lofts(Zachman/condominium building) <br /> • Gaffron distributed a memo regarding the Letter of Credit. The entire amount of$45,750 <br /> has been drawn and is in city accounts. 2 of 57 units have been sold. <br /> 7.
