The review is based upon the supposition that the data on which the design is <br /> based are correct, and that necessary legal authority has been obtained to construct the project. The <br /> responsibility for the design of structural features and the efficiency of equipment must be taken by the project <br /> designer. Approval is contingent upon satisfactory disposition of any requirements included in this report. <br /> Special care should be taken to insure that the material and installation of the plumbing system are in accordance <br /> with the provisions of the Minnesota Plumbing Code. A copy of the approved plans and specifications should <br /> be retained at the project location for future reference. <br /> A set of the identified plans and specifications is being returned to Dakota Plumbing &Heating,Inc. <br /> INSPECTIONS: All plumbing installations must be tested and inspected in accordance with the requirements of <br /> the Minnesota Plumbing Code. As specified in Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2830,no plumbing work may be <br /> covered prior to completing the required tests and inspections. Provisions must be made for applying an air test <br /> at the time of the roughing-in inspection as outlined in Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2820, subpart 2, of the code. <br /> A manometer test, as specified in Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2820, subpart 3,is required at the time of the <br /> finished plumbing inspection. It is the responsibility of the contractor/installer to notify the State Health <br /> Department when the installation will be ready for a test and inspection. To schedule inspections, contact the <br /> state plumbing standards representative for your region, or call the metro office at 1-800-926-6216, or Gary Topp <br /> at 651/215-0841. <br /> REQUIREMENT(S): <br /> 1. The three-compartment sink must be provided with a separate floor drain on the dedicated horizontal <br /> drainage branch serving each sink. This floor drain must not be equipped with a backwater valve(see <br /> Minnesota Rules, part 4715.1390, subpart 2). <br /> 2. The floor drain serving as the tell-tale drain for the dishwasher must be relocated so that the drain is located <br /> on the dedicated horizontal branch of the dishwasher. <br /> 3. The three-compartment sink shall be trapped in accordance with Minnesota Rules,part 4715.0900. Fixture <br /> traps must be located within 30 inches of each compartment outlet. No more than two traps may be served <br /> by a common vent. Each waste outlet and trap must be at least two inches in diameter. <br /> 4. The minimum vent size for the water closet must be 2 inches in size. <br />
