Jesse Struve
From: Jesse Struve
Sent: Friday, May 02, 2014 3:56 PM
To: Melanie Curtis
Cc: Christine Mattson
Subject: 20140502 1261 Wildhurst Trail
I have reviewed the permit application for the new house at 1261 Wildhurst and have the following concerns:
• No erosion control is shown on the survey.
• A retaining wall is shown to be within the City's right of way which is not allowed without an encroachment
agreement. In this case I would not be in favor of an agreement because it can feasibly be graded to not
requiring a retaining wall.
• There are several retaining walls that do not show the top and bottom elevations on them.
• How deep is the proposed fountain? Is it going to be raised above the driveway or sunk lower than the
driveway?
• Is the culvert at the bottom of the ravine new or existing?
Jesse Struve, PE
Director of Public Works/City Engineer
City of Orono
(952) 249-4661 - Direct
(952) 249-4616- Fax
www.ci.orono.mn.us
1
