How is
the approval coming on our driveway request? Do you have a time frame that I could give to our
driveway guy as so we are not holding him up from fitting in other jobs? Will you be able to call me
so that I can stop in and pay for the permit and escrow instead of the mail?
Thank you,
Diane Gray
612-272-3014
On Fri, Mar 29, 2013 at 1:15 PM, diane gray <dianebgrayAgmail.com> wrote:
FYI...Orono requirements
Forwarded message
From: Christine Mattson <CMattson@ci.orono.mn.us>
Date: Fri, Mar 29, 2013 at 1:13 PM
Subject: 999 Wildhurst Trail
To: "dianebgray@gmail.com" <dianebgray@gmail.com>
Diane,
Per our conversation yesterday, the property addressed 999 Wildhurst Trial is located in the LR-1 B
zoning district. This property is also within Tier 1 of the Stormwater Quality Overlay District which
allows hardcover up to 25% of the lot area. Modification of a driveway requires a Zoning Permit, a
copy of the application is attached. The type of permits you will need to request on the Zoning Permit
Application form are a Hardcover Permit and a Minor Land Alteration; check both boxes. A minor land
alteration permit is $50, plus a $2,000 escrow as indicated. An as-built survey will be required after
the driveway modifications have been completed and inspected, showing the driveway and grading
were completed per the approved plan and the hardcover is conforming.
I spoke with Lyle Oman (our building official), he indicated that you removed two decks which you
intend to rebuild in-kind. However past surveys and permit information only show one of the two
decks. After Lyle receives the construction plans for the decks, he will determine if a survey will be
required prior to construction of the decks. An as-built survey showing the completed decks may also
be required. Building permit costs are based on the estimated construction value. For an estimate of
the permit fee for the construction of decks, please call 952-249-4600.
1
