FILE#LA19-99 <br /> January 21,2020 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> 6 Hunter The city will partner with the Hennepin County to connect the trails in <br /> Drive/Fernda northeast Orono to the Luce Line and Dakota Trails via Hunter Drive <br /> le and Ferndale Road. <br /> 7 Lowry Woods The city will plan trail access to the Lowry Woods Park. <br /> 8 Old Long The city does not support the addition of an off-street trail along Old <br /> Lake Road Long Lake Road due to the nearby access to the Luce Line Trail in <br /> several locations. <br /> The proposed Trail Priorities,as determined by the Parks Commission. <br /> Table 4E-8:Trail Implementatio": _ , ' <br /> Priority Project Description <br /> 1 East Long Lake Trail The city will implement the master plan developed for the trail along <br /> the east end of Long Lake. <br /> 2 Navarre Dakota Trail The city will actively partner with Hennepin county and Three Rivers <br /> Connection Park District to complete a trail connection along County Road 19 <br /> connecting Navarre to the Dakota Trail <br /> 3 Lakeview Legacy Park The city will plan and construct a walking trail that connects Lakeview <br /> Legacy Park to West Branch Road/County Road 151 along the old <br /> Shakopee/Greenfield native American trail. This project should be <br /> timed with the 2020 road construction project. <br /> 4 Wayzata Blvd Trail The City is partnering with the city of Long Lake and Hennepin County <br /> to provide a multi modal trail along the north side of Wayzata Blvd <br /> from the Luce Line trial to the western Boundary of the Orono School <br /> Property. The trail is being included as part of the CSAH 112 Turn <br /> back Projects. <br /> 5 Luce Line Dakota The city will support an off-street trail that provides access from the <br /> Trail connector Luce Line Trail to the Dakota Trail. <br /> 6 Hunter The city will partner with the Hennepin County to connect the trails in <br /> Drive/Ferndale northeast Orono to the Luce Line and Dakota Trails via Hunter Drive <br /> and Ferndale Road. <br /> 7 Lowry Woods The city will plan trail access to the Lowry Woods Park. <br /> 8 County Road 19 The city will work with other communities along county road 19 to <br /> support a trail connecting the Dakota Trail to Navarre south to the <br /> Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail <br /> Analysis: The priorities are included in the Comprehensive Plan to efficiently direct limited <br /> resources toward those areas deemed most important. The Park Commission, in allocating <br /> limited park funds, has identified projects that better fulfill their mission. <br /> It is not uncommon for priorities to shift from year to year. <br /> These are the Park Commissions recommended priorities. If the Planning Commission proposes <br /> changes,these will be forwarded to the City Council for consideration. <br /> Public Comments <br /> To date, no public comments have been received.
