Evelyn M. Turner
From: Johnson, Chad A[Chad.Johnson@bonestroo.com]
Sent: Thursday, December 10, 2009 6:07 PM
To: Evelyn M. Turner
Cc: Tom Kellogg
Subject: RE: FYI Winterization Letter mailing
Attachments: image001.jpg; Winterization Letter Compliance Summary.pdf
Evelyn,
As requested I stopped by all of the sites you mailed the Winterization Letter to and have attached a summary report of
the things I saw at each of the sites. For the most part all of the projects that should have temporary or permanent
stabilization down for the winter did. The only problems I saw were; one project had no perimeter protection and a few
projects had silt fence that needed to be fixed up and maintained. Please feel free to contact me immediately should you
have questions on any of the sites.
Thanks,
Chad Johnson, CPESC, CPSWQ
Direct 651-604-4939
Cell 651-325-6860
chad.johnson@bonestroo.com
Bonestroo
From: Evelyn M. Turner [mailto:ETurner@ci.orono.mn.us]
Sent: Friday, November 13, 2009 3:23 PM
To: Johnson, Chad A
Cc: Kellogg, Tom P; Lyle Oman; Melanie Curtis
Subject: FYI Winterization Letter mailing
Chad:
Tom reviewed your letter and indicated it was appropriate to send out to the smaller
projects that you haven't been monitoring. I left your name on it because I didn't think
there was anyone here who could answer technical questions about it. Because of the
delay in sending it out I added a few days to the compliance deadline. These are going out
in today's mail so you can expect phone calls on Monday.
All but two of these are single-family houses under construction on isolated lots. Some
have just commenced, some have been under construction for a while. Crystal Place is a
detached garage on a tiny lot that disturbed most of the lot. (Jasin even removed part of
his house to provide access to the garage.) Cherry Avenue is a major addition between the
lake and a wetland. Tom and Darren reviewed the grading plans for all these permits.
There may be more letters going out next week as I dig more information out of the permit
system.
Evelyn Turner
1
