Wilson said tl�is should contain very spe�ific guidelines for spec�fic <br /> buffering. <br /> It was suggested that a#6 be added to refer to refarestatian. The consultant will be <br /> deferred to regarding int�rnal tree% a.nd buffering. Commissioners voiced concern with <br /> cornfields or pasture land now becoming reforested and whether that was the gaai. <br /> McDermott suggested referencing the 5-acre zoning and returnin�property that was onee <br /> prairie back to prairie. <br /> 'Wilson suggested#6 be reforestation or prairie development. Ilse asked how this would <br /> affect horse farms. Wilson said 5 acre prop�rties should be dealt with differentty. Wilson <br /> said there should be a parameter for reforestation or preservation. <br /> McDermatt suggested different parameters far different parcel sizes. Wilson thought this <br /> was dealt with under#4 where criteria is determined. McDermott said the tar�er acreages <br /> can be retained as open field or prairie under criteria determined in�. <br /> It will be noted in the preamble that Qrono has 6een devetoped well over th�years(which <br /> was noted at the end of the original #S)_ <br /> Wilson said she would iike to encourage the Council that the n� step in the process be <br /> the crafting of the poticy with the consultant, Staff, and several members of the Plan�ing <br /> and Park Commissions. Van Zomeren nvte�that the consultant is under contFact. Wilson <br /> said Council wilt to asked ta pay the cost of using the consultant for this task. <br /> Wilson asked if the consuitant would be hired tta handle the tree presetvation issues once a <br /> policy is estabiished.
