Nort;iern States Power <br /> Compaiiy is, ho�aever, presently buying land on <br /> the Luce Line from iVayzata to l�Jaterto�an for tile <br /> rig;it to protect tiieir present poi,�er lines <br /> oii the trail and as a possible site for futare <br /> po�,rer lines . They are not fighting tlie trails <br /> and are willing to cvork tvitli the trail people. <br /> T�iere is notliing in tlie planning stage now for <br /> power lines , it will probably be IO years <br /> before poles are put in; however, pol,►er lines <br /> do place some restriction on vegetation. <br /> A discussion follotaed. The only way to stop CONllEI�INATION <br /> iVortliern States Power Company from buying the <br /> land is to conclem it for parks .
