The compaction testing done <br /> during placement of backfill and additional required fill indicated the procedures used by the contractor <br /> were adequate to compact the backfill and fill, and meet the project requirements. Observations and <br /> testing of the structure subgrades and excavation bottoms indicated that the exposed soils were <br /> consistent with those encountered by the geotechnical borings performed for this project. Footing <br /> subgrade soils were judged suitable for support of the design allowable soil bearing capacity of 2,000 <br /> PSF. <br /> There are no outstanding or unresolved soils-related issues. <br /> Concrete <br /> The required testing in the field and in the laboratory has been completed.The results have been <br /> forwarded under separate cover.The compressive strength testing indicates the concrete placed has <br /> met the project requirements. The placement procedures used were judged to have met the project <br /> requirements. <br /> j There are no outstanding or unresolved concrete-related issues. <br /> sa <br /> Reinforcing Steel <br /> The reinforcement placement detailed in the attached Special Inspection Daily Reports was observed <br /> according to the requirements of the project plans and specifications. <br /> There are no outstanding or unresolved reinforcing steel-related issues. <br /> Providing engineering and environmental solutions since 1957 <br />
