<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />NO. ________________________ <br /> <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION <br />GRANTING PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF <br />AMENDMENT #1 OF THE <br />ORONO 2040 COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT PLAN: <br />WAYZATA COUNTRY CLUB <br />FILE #LA19-000070 <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono (hereinafter “City”) is a municipal corporation <br />organized and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in June 2019 the Orono City Council adopted the 2040 Orono <br />Community Management Plan (hereinafter “CMP” or “the Comprehensive Plan”) to provide <br />for the orderly development of the City, in compliance with the Metropolitan Land Planning <br />Act of 1976 and Minnesota Statutes Chapters 462 and 473; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan identifies areas within the Metropolitan <br />Urban Service Area (MUSA); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan contemplates the expansion of the <br />MUSA boundary from time to time through developed priorities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property owner requests expansion of the MUSA boundary <br />to incorporate the following PIDs: <br /> <br />3611823140015 <br />3611823130002 <br />3611823130003 <br />3611823420003 <br />3611823440023 <br />3611823430001 <br />3611823340002 <br />3611823340001; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this request was reviewed as Land Use Application LA19- <br />000070); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in light of the above application the Orono Planning Commission <br />pursuant to published and written notice held a public hearing on September 16, 2019and on
