Scope Of work: The work includes construction of a new, concrete swimming pool as <br /> shown on the drawings prepared by James Robin, Landscape Architect, dated 2 September, <br /> 1993. The pool shall include all work described below and all work reasonably implied The <br /> pool does not include coping, pool deck, walls, or service connections. <br /> B.. Standards: All work shall meet or exceed industry and State of Minnesota Commercial <br /> Pool Standards, applicable codes and all governing regulations. All workers shall be fully <br /> experienced or under the direct supervision of a foreman experienced in the construction of <br /> concrete pools. <br /> C. Materials: All materials shall be new, in first class condition. <br /> D. Permits and taxes: The cost for all permits and taxes is included in the project price. <br /> E. Insurance: Prior to the start of work the Contractor shall furnish a Certificate of Insurance <br /> showing limits and dates of coverage for Contractors General Liability, Works in Progress, <br /> Workers Compensation and Vehicle Insurance. <br /> F. Shop Drawings: Prior to the start of any work, submit for approval, a shop drawing on a <br /> reproducible mylar showing the pool layout with all dimensions and elevations, sections of the <br /> pool shell and wall, locations and specifications of all equipment and piping. <br /> G. Design Criteria <br /> 1 . The pool water re-circulation system shall be capable of fully recirculating the entire <br /> volume of water, estimated to be 31,000 gallons, once every 2.5 hours. <br /> 2. The flow of water into the pool shall be evenly distributed. <br /> 3. The entire pool and all equipment shall be drainable by gravity or pumped discharge <br /> with the pool recirculating pump and compressed air. <br /> H. Warranty: This contractor shall warrant that for a period of one year following <br /> acceptance of the pool and equipment, all defective or dysfunctional work will be immediately <br /> replaced or repaired to new condition following notice by the owner, at no cost to the owner. <br /> I. Coordination: This contractor shall coordinate access to the site on the approved routes, <br /> parking of vehicles, storage of equipment and materials and the construction of the pool with <br /> the work of others on the home reconstruction project. <br /> J. Protection of existing conditions: This contractor shall protect existing trees and <br /> constructions designated to remain and shall promptly replace or repair any damage. <br /> K. Observation by Landscape Architect: Observation of the work by the Landscape <br /> Architect does not imply approval of the conditions nor relieve the Contractor of any <br /> responsibilities or obligations for the quality of the work. <br />
